About the Role: As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of embedded software solutions for advanced medical devices. You will work within a collaborative team, leveraging your expertise in algorithm development, hardware acceleration, and embedded systems to deliver high-quality, reliable software. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for embedded targets, focusing on performance and efficiency. Leverage hardware acceleration capabilities on the AMD Kria family of System on Modules (SOMs). Work extensively with the Zynq UltraScale MPSoC architecture. Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented, and testable code. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, system engineers, and QA to define and deliver complete solutions. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software development processes. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in an embedded systems environment. Adhere to medical device software development processes and standards. Qualifications: Experience: 10+ years of experience in embedded software development. Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Programming Languages: Proficient in C, C++, and Python. Hardware Experience: Demonstrated experience leveraging hardware acceleration, specifically with the AMD Kria family of SOMs and the Zynq UltraScale MPSoC. Tools: Experience with version control systems (Git) and issue tracking systems (Jira). Location: Hybrid (3days), on-site (full-time onsite when hardware access is needed) Salary Range: $154K-$174K The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience ALTEN Technology USA
