The Grayslake Area Public Library is seeking a friendly, adaptable, and proactive Public Services Associate to join our team. In this fast-paced and collaborative role, you will assist patrons of all ages at our public service desks, create engaging book and media displays, provide one-on-one teaching and troubleshooting of maker equipment and other technology, and more.
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred; customer service experience and aptitude with current technology and makerspace equipment is highly desirable. Flexibility to work additional hours is advantageous.

Hours per week: This position is part-time with an average work week of 13.50 hours. The hours include Wednesdays, 5:00-9:00pm, Thursdays, 5:00pm-9:00pm, and Fridays, 3:00-6:00pm, as well as a two-week Saturday rotation, 10:30am-3:30pm.
Salary Range: $18.36 - $19.44 per hour
Benefits: Prorated paid vacation, personal days, sick days, and holidays. Participation in Social Security is mandatory. Participation in deferred compensation is optional.
