The Principal Consultant role is a functional leadership position requiring proficient knowledge of Fenergo's SaaS solution and delivery methodology. As a leader in the Product Consultant practice, the candidate is expected to support the growth and development of Product Consultants and promote a high-performing culture within the practice.

The Principal Consultant will lead by example, executing best practices in project delivery, providing SME and solutioning support, and resolving functional challenges through strong influence and collaboration across teams.

They will oversee a portion of the AMER project portfolio to ensure clients realize the value of Fenergo's SaaS Solution, and will provide best practice design and functional architecture consultancy to clients and project teams.

This role also requires strong commercial acumen and an understanding of the financial impact at all delivery stages. The Principal Consultant will support client solutions and sales efforts, ensuring best practices in design and aligning client needs with product strategy.

Occasional travel up to 30% is required, with no travel restrictions for candidates.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive customer demonstrations on Fenergo's SaaS solution
  • Communicate effectively with clients and demonstrate product expertise
  • Challenge client requirements to drive optimal solution design aligned with best practices and product strategy
  • Analyze problems and opportunities to determine solutions
  • Identify and escalate issues promptly to prevent negative impacts on project success
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication
  • Serve as an escalation point for project issues within assigned portfolios
  • Support the development of the Product Consultant Practice
  • Become an SME in multiple parts of the Fenergo SaaS Product to support employee development
  • Ensure clear documentation for seamless project handovers
  • Implement efficiencies to ensure consistent, successful delivery
  • Support pre-sales and sales activities as needed
  • Stay updated on product changes and content hub updates
  • Assist in regional change management initiatives
  • Disseminate global and regional organizational goals to the team

Requirements

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in software project implementation, consulting, or management, including vendor-side experience
  • Experience in a SaaS environment
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Organizational skills
  • Effective listening skills
  • Experience in designing solutions
  • Experience leading client engagements and teams

Education:

  • Degree in Business, Technology, or equivalent
