Role Description

This is a contract role as a Licensed Acupuncturist at DAO INTEGRATED HEALTH. As an Acupuncturist, you will be responsible for performing acupuncture treatments, including the placement of thin needles at specific points on the body to promote healing and alleviate pain. You will also incorporate other traditional Chinese medicine techniques such as moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, herbal medicine and lifestyle education to support the overall well-being of our patients. This is an on-site role located in Livermore, CA and possibly Alameda, CA.

We are looking for someone who graduated in the last couple years and is eager to work, hungry to learn and be the best in their profession, and is availble to work weekday evenings and Fridays. Saturdays may be an option as well.

• Pay is: either commission or hourly. New Acupuncturist Commission is 25% with a range of: $15 - $70 per patient or $45-50 an hour.

• Quarterly commissions of 15% for sales of supplements and herbal products.

Qualifications

• Current California state license as an Acupuncturist
• Masters or Doctorate Diploma from Credentialed Acupuncture College
• CPR Certification
• Experience and proficiency in acupuncture and other traditional Oriental Medicine techniques
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to acupuncture practices.
• Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to the field of acupuncture.
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patience, empathy, compassion, and communication.
• Strong knowledge of herbal medicine applications and safety with existing medications
• Ability to perform moxibustion, Cupping, and/or Gua Sha during treatments
• Excellent diagnostic and assessment skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
• Ability to stay on time and see up to 3 patients an hour.
• Ability to complete soap notes on time and thoroughly.
• Enjoys collaboration and team work environment

Preferred:

• Open to working in Alameda & Livermore locations
• Experience with Jane App
• Experience working with Dropbox
• Experience with trigger point therapy is a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience with Japanese Acupuncture.
• Experience with NADA protocol
• Additional certifications or training in related fields is a plus
