Entry-Level Sales Representative – Travel & Growth Opportunity
Location: Onsite in Elgin, IL, with domestic travel every other week
Schedule: Full-time, in-office when not traveling
Travel: Domestic, up to 3 days every other week
Pay: $24/hr plus commission, on track earnings for year 1 are expected to be at $100K or slightly above!
** This role is 6 month contract-to-hire**

We’re hiring an Entry-Level Sales Representative to join a growing manufacturing and distribution company based in Elgin, IL. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of an existing book of business while learning the ropes of B2B sales—both inside and out in the field.
You’ll get in front of major players in the industry, travel to trade shows, and be part of a collaborative sales team with strong mentorship. If you’re hungry, polished, and ready to dive in, this role can fast-track your sales career.
What You’ll Do:
Split your time evenly between inside sales support, outbound sales outreach, and travel to trade shows/customer sites
Follow up on and manage a book of ~100 existing distributor accounts, growing business and strengthening relationships
Prospect and generate new leads, making cold calls and booking visits with potential customers
Represent the company at trade shows across the U.S., visiting 5–6 customers per event and developing new relationships
Work closely with brokerage groups and support them in representing your products
Learn from experienced sales professionals and hit key milestones (targeting $1M in first-year sales)
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field — or 2–3+ years of sales-related experience, ideally in manufacturing or distribution
Strong self-motivation and initiative: you’re not afraid to pick up the phone, ask questions, and jump into the action
Polished, professional demeanor — you’ll be client-facing and must make strong first impressions
Honest, polite, and accountable — we value integrity over flash
Willing and able to travel domestically (via plane) every other week for up to 3 days at a time
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous internship or part-time experience in sales
Background in sports or competitive extracurriculars — we love teammates with hustle
Strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a positive, coachable attitude
