Job Description
SUMMARY
Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to staff the Sexual Assault (SA) Services 24 Hour Hotline and the Domestic Violence (DV) 24 hours Hotline. Provide medical advocacy, civil, general, and criminal justice advocacy services to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
VOLUNTEER OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
The Coordinator of DVSA Training & Volunteer Operations is also to be available when either the volunteer or the scheduled SA/DV staff person requests help with a Hotline call. Whenever the Coordinator of SA/DV Training & Volunteer Operations is not available due to illness, holiday, or vacation, or at any other times as approved by the Supervisor, the Supervisor of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Advocacy will respond to calls and provide assistance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Services, Gender/Women's Studies, or another related field required.
IL 60-hour training in both Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Training preferred. ICDVP Certification required. Eligibility will be considered if certification can be obtained within 3-6 months of starting in the position.
Candidate must have at least two (2) years of experience working with trauma survivors in which crisis intervention was provided. Prior program coordination experience is needed. Experience managing volunteers is preferred. Training facilitation and presentation experience required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid Illinois driver's license and automobile insurance. Personal vehicle needed for transportation to/from: Pillars Community Health's (PCH) office sites, police departments, courthouses, and hospitals within the program's service area. Mileage for authorized work-related purposes is reimbursable.
PAY & BENEFIT INFORMATION
$22.20 per hour to $29.55 per hour
