About the Role
The Company is seeking a Career Coach to join their team. This is a 10-month, grant-funded staff position with a focus on cultivating programs and services for high school learners to support their successful entry and advancement in career pathways. The ideal candidate will be responsible for career exploration, advising and registration, and providing support services to help students succeed in high school and college courses. Essential duties include supporting outreach efforts, coordinating events, maintaining student records, and serving as a liaison for disability services. The role also involves conducting workshops, classroom visits, and ensuring compliance with educational guidelines. Applicants for the Career Coach position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years' experience in secondary and/or postsecondary education. The role requires a demonstrated ability to build relationships within an educational setting, plan and organize programs, and provide tracking and assessment to ensure quality. Candidates must have a commitment to student-centered environments, experience with career services, and knowledge of student/career development theory. Skills in Microsoft Office and effective communication with diverse groups are essential. The ability to independently prioritize tasks, establish new initiatives, and foster a collaborative, team-based work environment is also necessary.
