Ankura is a team of excellence founded on innovation and growth.Position OverviewThe Business Operations Associate supports the team with data analysis, financial tasks, and day-to-day operations. This role involves using data to help make business decisions and assist with improving how the business group run its operations. Role can be remote, yet highly preferred locations are Central and East Regions within the US.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Operations & Strategic PartnershipExecute daily business operations, maintaining seamless communication with Business Group Operations Partners and cross-functional team membersParticipate actively in strategic planning initiatives and internal meetings with global business leadersSupport organizational objectives through collaborative project management and stakeholder engagementFinancial Planning & AnalysisCreate management reporting packages centered on key performance indicators to accelerate financial goal achievementCraft actionable financial insights that inform executive decision-making and strategic directionData Analytics Leverage data analytics and visualization platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx) to transform raw data into thoughtful business insightsAssist with aggregating, cleansing, and synthesizing data sources from multiple systems and formatsConduct analysis and interpretation of historical financial, operational, and transactional datasetsDocumentation & CommunicationProduce analytical summaries, compelling data visualizations, and executive-level presentationsCreate detailed documentation supporting improved financial data processes and operational efficiencyDeliver written analyses that communicate complex findings to diverse stakeholder audiencesRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related analytical disciplineStrong academic performance demonstrated analytical excellence and intellectual rigor1-3 years of experience in a business support operations roleTechnical CompetenciesExcellent working experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reportingProfessional CapabilitiesDemonstrated ability to leverage technology solutions for complex data problem-solvingCollaborative and team-oriented and ability to work within dynamic, fast-paced settingsDemonstrated problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailSuperior time management and task prioritization abilities under strict deadline pressuresConfidence and professionalism when interacting with senior leadership and executive stakeholdersPersonal AttributesMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureAble to manage tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standardsStrong written and verbal communication skills with quantitative and organizational capabilitiesDemonstrated work ethic with eagerness for continuous professional developmentWillingness to travel as business requirements dictateIntellectual curiosity and passion for transforming data into actionable business intelligenceFor individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Ankura, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role.
