Job Description

Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

  • We prefer candidates to have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree with a focus in healthcare, business, or information systems.
  • Candidates must be able to present complex data in an understandable format, such as charts and graphs.
  • An ability to adapt to and implement changes is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills are required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.

  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities are a must.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is expected, with at least 2 years in healthcare, business, or information systems.
  • The ability to resolve moderate incidents independently without direction is important.
  • Candidates should be capable of developing new functionalities for requests with minimal guidance.
  • Experience working in a team setting, sharing information, and assisting junior team members is required.
  • A solid understanding of healthcare knowledge and systems expertise is necessary.
  • Candidates should be able to make decisions regarding their own work on primarily routine matters and work under minimal supervision, utilizing independent judgment and analysis.
  • Collaboration with senior team members to develop solutions is crucial.
  • The ability to mentor and potentially train team members within their functional or application area is desirable.
  • Preferred certifications in the area of focus are recommended.
  • For Epic Analysts: certification or proficiency in the assigned Epic module is required (to be obtained within 6 months of employment), and certifications must be kept current by maintaining training on new versions.
Responsibilities:
  • I analyze, develop, test, document, educate, implement, support, and maintain or optimize assigned applications, solutions, and business processes to meet operational and technical requirements.
  • I collaborate across project boundaries with other teams, thinking creatively to propose practical solutions to issues while providing oversight and project management to my assigned tasks.
  • I demonstrate a solid level of subject matter expertise in supporting projects, customers, and other teams while proactively seeking to enhance my application/system knowledge in my assigned areas. I effectively use application training, resource materials, and guide newer team members in utilizing these resources.
  • I possess thorough knowledge of operations that enables me to identify opportunities to enhance customer usability, efficiency, and experience. I represent user needs in larger system updates and provide clear, organized status reports to stakeholders.
  • I perform process and requirement analysis, including mapping current workflows and gathering specifications to deliver cross-team solutions, completing working-level gap analysis and making recommendations.
  • I articulate complex design and configuration issues to end users and stakeholders while maintaining relationships with end user leadership and addressing conflicts proactively.
  • I engage in strategy discussions, identifying options with associated pros and cons, facilitating decision-making, and recognizing when to pursue quick resolutions.
  • I adhere to organizational standards for system configuration and change control, maintaining strong technical proficiency in application design and configuration.
  • I work on building strong relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partners, and collaborate with Operational Leaders to ensure alignment and create efficiencies through standardized best practices.
  • I coordinate code changes with the appropriate vendors and collaborate with technical teams to identify and resolve application-related infrastructure issues.
  • I share industry best practices from vendors with Operational Leaders and continue to develop my technical knowledge of the assigned application.
  • I serve as the liaison between business operations, providers, IT, system users, and vendors, following strict change management processes.
  • I ensure written documentation for end users and leadership is consistent and carefully reviewed while maintaining effective communication within the project team.
  • I periodically review and self-correct my skills, work habits, and behaviors to maintain effective relationships in the workplace.
  • I proactively troubleshoot and resolve incidents and requests independently, managing medium complexity projects, and collaborating with team members as needed.
  • I complete assigned courses and educational materials in a timely manner and ensure my services contribute to the department's primary mission.
  • I escalate when service level agreements are breached or appropriate vendor actions are lacking.
  • I may need to travel or work additional hours as necessary during critical issues, assisting in training sessions for users and co-workers.
  • I actively seek and capitalize on new opportunities, maintaining a positive attitude during challenges, and handling tough issues as they arise.
  • I am open to performing other duties as assigned.
